North Brabant to develop more ties during mission in China

DEN BOSCH – The Province of North Brabant, a favourably located economic power house in the Netherlands, has its eyes set on China and has already developed ties with the Chinese province Jiangsu. North Brabant capital, ‘s-Hertogenbosch or Den Bosch for short, is joining the effort by twinning with the much larger City of Wuxi (with a population of 4.5 million). Mayor Rombouts is heading a trade mission to Wuxi where he will sign a memorandum of intent for such a twin-sister relationship. Brabant Orchestra will do a concert tour of China during the time of the trade mission, partially funded by Den Bosch. Wuxi is also interesting to Den Bosch for its range of emerging industries. North Brabant is the European home to a number of Chinese firms.
